Meet Roz

I haven’t walked in your shoes, but I have walked beside them.

I am often asked if I’ve had cancer myself. The answer is no. But I am no stranger to the impact of cancer through family members and dear friends, and the "full-time job" of navigating a medical crisis. My own life has been shaped by the shadow of chronic illness - through my own experience  and, more profoundly, through my daughter’s gruelling journey.

My personal history of working with chronic illness and watching my daughter try to shape her own working life through illness, is what drives my advocacy.  I bring a "gentle yet to the point" curiosity and a deep understanding of the "medical noise."

I’ve sat in the waiting rooms, juggled the workload and the guilt, and felt the loneliness and hurt that comes with a lack of understanding from others. I use that lived experience to be the grounded partner who helps you rediscover the person you want to be - at work, at home, and everywhere in between.

I believe that deep empathy must be backed by rigorous expertise. Working with cancer has been the focus of my work for many years, culminating in my ongoing Professional Doctorate in Occupational Health, Psychology & Management, where I am exploring loneliness, work, and cancer. In addition, I hold the following qualifications & credentials:

  • CWI Certified Cancer Coach
  • Level 5 Diploma in Health & Nutrition Coaching
  • Level 4 Certificate in Integrating Mindfulness & Compassion in Professional Practice
  • BSc Psychology (1st class hons)
  • Graduate member British Psychological Society (GMBPsS)
  • UKIHCA Registered Health Coach
  • NEO-PI-3 Certified Practitioner

I am here to help you get better at being you, ensuring that your diagnosis remains just one part of your story - not the whole thing.

A key factor in successful coaching is the relationship between the coach and the coachee; it’s about the connection. A chemistry call offers a space for us to meet, for you to ask questions, and for us to see if my approach feels like the right fit for you. Navigating cancer is personal - your coaching should be, too.
